Waste Heat Recovery (www.tespl.com ): In cement plants a great amount of heat is exhausted in the form of waste gases to the atmosphere. Rotary kilns and Calciners are used which operate at around 1000°C to 1200°C. The outgoing gases from Preheater have to be cooled to around 250°C using Gas Cooling Towers which require a lot of water. The solid material i.e. clinker coming out of the Rotary kiln is at around 1000°C and have to be cooled to 100-120°C temperature using ambient air. This generates hot air of about 320°C. About 60% of the hot air generated is used as combustion air in kiln furnaces & remaining is exhausted to atmosphere without heat recovery.

TESPL builds Waste Heat Recovery based Power Plants for cement industry with patent technology of Vertical CO-FLOW configuration of Waste Heat Recovery Boiler. This patented CO-FLOW technology is ideally suited for dust laden gases from pre-heater and clinker cooler of the cement plant

With a large number of ‘first of its kind’ plants and systems under its belt and Nine patents to its credit, Transparent Energy Systems Pvt. Ltd is the first company in India to have achieved a techno commercial success in engineering and commissioning Waste Heat driven Power Plants in Indian Cement Industries

The other major benefits of Patented Vertical COFLOW technology are –
  • Minimum fouling and erosion of boiler tubes due to dust.
  • Lower floor space requirement.
  • Reduced cost of civil work and ducting.

Flue Gas Desulphurization (www.fgd.net.in): Captive Power Plants use high sulphur fuels (Coal, Pet Coke, Heavy Oil etc) emitting sulphur dioxide gas in large quantities .These emissions are harmful to environment as well as to public health and shall be subject to stringent statutory norms in near future.

TTPL builds limestone based Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) Plants, optimized to customer’s requirement and application based on the parameters of exhaust gases, emission requirements, site conditions, availability and cost of input materials. These FGD plants generates gypsum as by-product, which has captive consumption in cement plant.

Fly Ash Drying (www.flyashdrying.co.in): Wet Fly Ash from “Ash Ponds” is available in ample quantities. Cement Industries use wet fly ash and mix it at pre grinding stage. However, due to up to 25% moisture content in the Wet Fly Ash, the mixing percentage is limited up to 2 to 3% as against 25% and 35% in Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC) and Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC).

TTPL builds Wet Fly Ash Dryers for moisture reduction up to 1% using waste heat from clinker cooler or coal/oil/gas fired hot air generator.

Bag Filters (www.bagfilters.co.in): TTPL builds Bag Filters of patented COFLOW design having unique superior features –
  • Up to 40% lower pressure drop and power consumption
  • Much longer bag life due to lower fabric stresses
  • Better cleaning efficiency (up to 20 mg/Nm3)
